Toronto Maple Leafs goaltender Anthony Stolarz made multiple big stops against the New York Rangers, although one of them could have resulted in a serious injury.

Anthony Stolarz stood on his head against the New York Rangers and helped the Toronto Maple Leafs secure a difficult win against an Original Six rival.
There were some scary moments during this game, including one save in which Stolarz slid across and stopped a JT Miller shot with no mask on his head.
After taking a shot from Matt Rempe, Stolarz's mask came loose, and because the Rangers had a scoring chance, the referees didn't call the play dead.

Anthony Stolarz has a message for the NHL

After the game, Stolarz spoke to Luke Fox of Sportsnet, where he let his thoughts about the situation be known.
He explained that this is happening all too often, and that the NHL should think about changing the rule entirely.
«This is the second time it's happened. Happened to Adin Hill the other night as well. So, hopefully we can find a compromise. It's not like goalies are trying to knock our helmets off,» Stolarz said. «I mean, without the buckle, you can't really see the puck, you can't really track or do anything. As soon as you move your head, it falls off. So, hopefully the league can look at it and talk to some goalies or people who have knowledge of the position, and we can come to some sort of compromise where our safety isn't put at risk there.»
Stolarz noted that he tried to make the save anyway because at the end of the day, he is still a competitor.
«Just trying to be a competitor and slide across,» Stolarz added. «Obviously, it's not an ideal situation. But at that stage of the game, you're just trying to do anything to keep the puck out of the net.»

If you are a Maple Leafs fan, you have to appreciate this kind of fight from your goaltender.
Only time will tell whether or not the NHL decides to do anything going forward.
