He is currently in Munich, Germany where he is seeing a specialist for his injured upper-body.
Having said that, the team is dealing with numerous injuries right now and they are getting out of hand.
Mitch Marner to play center?
According to Mark Masters, Berube even asked Marner if he would be interested in shifting to the center position.
Like a good leader would, Marner made it clear that he has no issue with assuming the position. He knows it could be a huge benefit to the team.
"He said, 'No problem, whatever you want' ... It's definitely an option if we need it ... You'd have to worry about faceoffs & things like that."
At this current stage, there is no guarantee that Marner will have to play center. After all,
William Nylander also wants to have some reps at center.
While injuries may be an issue, there is no denying that this Leafs team is loaded with talent, which certainly makes up for the problems.
Tonight, the team will be taking on the
Las Vegas Golden Knights, a team that has had some ups and downs so far this year.
Meanwhile, the Leafs are on a nice little run as they have won five of their last six.
