Mitch Marner currently leads the Toronto Maple Leafs in points this season and he has certainly earned himself a massive contract to make him one of the most paid players in the league.
Overal, there has been a ton of speculation surrounding how much money his next deal will be worth.
Although analysts cannot agree on how much the contract will be, it is likely going to cost more than $12 million per year.
Meanwhile, many have wondered what Marner is thinking right now and whether or not a new contract is actually a priority for him.

The Hockey News recently asked Marner about his mindset right now, and he gave a pretty honest answer.
Ultimately, he doesn't want to think about it. Instead, he is just embracing good vibes.
"I honestly really just haven't thought of it," Marner said. "I'm a hockey player when I come to the rink, but other than that I'm a human being, and I've got great family and friends around me to keep my mind distracted, keep it loose and fun around me.»
This is very much in the same vein as what he said at the start of the season when rumblings of his contract situation first starting catching attention.
Overall, Marner has maintained that his contract is not something he is particularly interesting in talking about.
"I just try to keep my mind off hockey when I'm at home. As soon as I come to the rink, you know, that's when you dial it in and then, you know, realize the job you gotta do at hand and the work ethic and everything that comes with it," Marner said. "I don't know. I'm just trying not to think about it-just trying to come do my job here and, like I said, just help this team win hockey games.»
If he continues to produce at a high level, we're sure the Leafs will have no issue signing him to a massive contract.
