Nazem Kadri to the Toronto Maple Leafs: The Final Nail in the Coffin Has Been Delivered

Calgary Flames forward Nazem Kadri has been dealing with numerous rumors throughout the offseason, and many have been centered around the Toronto Maple Leafs.
Toronto Maple Leafs fans have probably noticed that Nazem Kadri has been named in numerous trade rumors as of late.
Overall, Kadri is a sensational center who, at 35 years old, is still playing some of the best hockey of his career. With the Calgary Flames, he had 35 goals last season.
That said, the Toronto Maple Leafs have been unable to acquire Kadri, and we're not even sure they are trying. Mostly, this is due to the Flames' reluctance.
Even Kadri himself has acknowledged the rumors, although he has mostly maintained the idea that he wants to remain in Calgary for the time being.
Nazem Kadri trade rumors are dead in the water
Full Press Hockey's Jim Biringer was recently on TSN 690 in Montreal this past week, and it was here that he was asked about the Kadri rumors, specifically in relation to the Canadiens.
Biringer's answer was bad for both the Canadiens and the Maple Leafs, as he made it clear that Kadri is not going anywhere.
Unless it's an offer that they can't refuse, Craig Conroy and the Calgary flames, he's not trading Nazem Kadri.
Ultimately, this makes a lot of sense. Kadri still has plenty of years left on his deal, and he is worth $7 million per season.
It just does not make any sense for the Flames to trade him right now, especially when they are on the edge of the postseason.
However, if he ever becomes available, you can be sure that Leafs fans will be begging for a reunion.
