Toronto Maple Leafs fans have been gouged by ticket prices for quite some time, and heading into opening night against the Montreal Canadiens, nothing has changed.
Going to a
Toronto Maple Leafs game is not a cheap activity, unless, of course, you are going to watch them at another team's arena.
Having said that, the Maple Leafs are increasing ticket prices this season. Whether it be individual games or season tickets, fans will be paying a pretty penny.
In fact, season tickets went up for sale today, and some of those tickets are already making their way to secondary sites like SeatGeek.
Opening night Toronto Maple Leafs ticket prices
According to Leafs Latest on X, opening night against the Montreal Canadiens will cost a fortune. The cheapest tickets are $370, while the most expensive are $2000.
These prices are what you would expect at the Stanley Cup Finals, not the first regular-season game of the year. Overall, it feels like price-gauging.
Of course, MLSE is not responsible for the resale market. That said, this is a worrisome trend, as last season, the fans in attendance were corporate.
This led to a lack of noise in the lower bowl, and we could very well see that play out all over again going into this season.
If you are a fan of the Toronto Maple Leafs, and you want to watch them play in person, you might want to start saving your money.
Overall, being a hockey fan is expensive, and with jerseys and other gear increasing in price, things are not going to get any better.
