MLSE is raising ticket prices for Toronto Maple Leafs games and as you can imagine, the fans are not happy with this which has led to protests in the streets.
If you have been paying attention to the news surrounding the
Toronto Maple Leafs, you would know that season ticket prices are being raised for next season,
Some fans will not be renewing their season tickets this year and that is going to make the atmosphere at the Scotiabank Arena that much worse than it already is.
Toronto Maple Leafs fans not happy with MLSE
In fact, it would appear as though the distaste for MLSE runs so deep that fans have resorted to protesting the group in the streets of Toronto.
We know this because a photo was posted on Reddit displaying a recent banner that went up over a bridge.
This post spells out a new acronym for MLSE that simply says "Making Losing Seem Easy." It is pretty hilarious although we're sure the suits do not appreciate it at all.
If you are a Toronto Maple Leafs fan, these kinds of price hikes are simply unacceptable especially when you consider how the team has not won a Stanley Cup in literal ages.
There has already been discourse about the ticket prices and how the average fan is getting priced out. With this current strategy, this will only get worse.
One of the only ways to support the team now is through merchandise and even that is starting to become way too expensive for the average person.
Only time will tell whether or not MLSE goes back on its original plans or if they keep this going for the long haul.
