Scotiabank Arena is one of the most expensive places in the NHL and things are about to get worse for Toronto Maple Leafs season ticket holders.

Toronto Maple Leafs fans already pay massive amounts of money for their tickets and you can just imagine what season ticket holders are going through.
There has even been chatter this season about how prices are so bad that some of the most loyal fans are being priced out which is subsequently creating a subpar atmosphere in the arena.

Toronto Maple Leafs season ticket holders get hit with huge hikes

According to James Mirtle of The Athletic, things are about to get a whole lot worse for season ticket holders in all sections.
Some fans are being hit with 20 percent price increases and the playoff prices are even more egregious.
This has some fans irate and it seems like some will be foregoing their season ticket renewals moving forward.
Maple Leafs fans were hit with sticker shock when they received their 2025-26 season ticket renewal notices. While price hikes are expected, some packages have increased by over 20% in certain sections. Frustrated fans voiced their concerns to The Athletic, with many questioning how much longer they can afford to attend games.

One of the steepest increases occurred in the purple section at the top of Scotiabank Arena, where two season tickets jumped from $8,522 this season to $10,396 next year. Playoff packages for those same seats cost $14,360 for two tickets-almost double the regular season price. In the lower bowl's gold sections, prices for a pair of seats are rising by more than $2,000, reaching $28,240. Playoff tickets in those sections could climb as high as $36,152, with Stanley Cup Final seats nearing $2,000 per ticket.
MLSE has made it clear that these price hikes are justified, but a lot of fans do not agree and they are going to make their voices heard.
For long-time fans, these price hikes are becoming unsustainable. Danny Russell, a season ticket holder for decades, said that as a retired teacher, he can no longer justify the cost-especially if the Leafs make a deep playoff run. Many share his frustration, feeling the organization is prioritizing corporate buyers over loyal supporters.

MLSE, the team's ownership group, defended the increases, citing market demand and previous underpricing in some sections. However, fans worry the rising costs are pricing out the most passionate supporters, changing the atmosphere at Scotiabank Arena. While attendance remains strong, the ongoing price surges raise concerns about the long-term fan experience.

Overall, this is disappointing to see and we hope the fans are going to get more respect from the organization moving forward.
If some fans decide to pull their money, then it will be more than justified, especially considering the lack of playoff success.
