Former NHL Defenseman Dead at 45 Following Tragic Skiing Accident

Former NHL defenseman Tomas Kloucek tragically passed away this past week following a skiing accident. He played for the New York Rangers and other NHL teams.
Horrific and sad news is coming out of the hockey world as it has been revealed that former NHL defenseman Tomas Kloucek has passed away at the age of 45.
According to The Hockey News, the former New York Rangers draft pick was in a skiing accident.
During his career, Kloucek played for three NHL teams including the Rangers, the Nashville Predators, and even the Atlanta Thrashers.
Tomas Kloucek was a beloved NHL teammate
He would eventually go on to play overseas where he would play in the KHL, the Czech league, and even the Slovakian league in 2014 where he won a championship with Kosice.
His career ended in 2017 with Epinal in France, bringing an end to a fantastic professional career that started with being drafted in 1998.
Klouček scored 10 (2+8) points in 141 career games in the NHL with the New York Rangers 🇺🇸, Nashville Predators 🇺🇸, and Atlanta Thrashers 🇺🇸 from 2000-2006. He also played professionally for the Hartford Wolf Pack 🇺🇸, Milwaukee Admirals 🇺🇸, Chicago Wolves 🇺🇸, Syracuse Crunch 🇺🇸, HC Zlín 🇨🇿, Barys Astana 🇰🇿, Lev Poprad 🇸🇰, HC Oceláři Třinec 🇨🇿, HC Košice 🇸🇰, Orli Znojmo 🇨🇿, Rytíři Kladno 🇨🇿, and Wildcats d'Épinal 🇫🇷, up until retirement in 2017.
Kloucek's passing is a stark reminder that life is a fragile thing that can end at any moment.
It is a very sad story and our heart goes out to his family during this very difficult time. We can't help but think of all of his loved ones right now.
