Neuroscientist Chris Nowinski was watching the Toronto Maple Leafs game last night and weighed in on goaltender Anthony Stolarz's horrendous injury.
If you are a Toronto Maple Leafs fan, this morning feels bittersweet. The team defeated the Florida Panthers in Game 1, however, they lost
Anthony Stolarz in the process.
Nueroscientist Chris Nowinski was one of the many voices to weigh in on the injury last night and as you will see, his comments are troubling.
He noted that once vomit is present, a trip to the emergency room is an absolute must. Clearly, the Leafs felt the exact same way.
When I initially posted on Anthony Stolarz I didn't know they initially left him in for more than two minutes until he started vomiting on the bench.
We need to do better.
PSA: If you vomit multiple times after a brain injury, get to the emergency room.
Overall, this is a horrible way to start the series, even if the Leafs were able to win the game.
When you see your goalie go down like this, you can't help but be angry. Right now, fans are hoping for Sam Bennett to be suspended or run over by a Leafs goon.
Meanwhile,
Joseph Woll must carry the load over the next week and there is no telling whether or not he is truly ready for the challenge.
Hopefully, some good news regarding Anthony Stolarz comes down the pipeline sooner rather than later. We would hate to see Game 1 become his last of the NHL Playoffs this season.
