Former Toronto Maple Leafs forward Mitch Marner is starting to hit the ice in Las Vegas, and it's clear that he is taking his new team's success very seriously.

Mitch Marner shattered the hearts of Toronto Maple Leafs fans everywhere when he decided to abandon the city that embraced him. The 102-point winger signed with the Las Vegas Golden Knights for eight years and $96 million, which is a slap in the face to the Leafs franchise.
Now, the pressure is on Marner to win a Stanley Cup. The Golden Knights are contenders, and they are not going to accept mediocrity in any form.
Marner has been known to fail in the postseason, and with that in mind, he now has a newfound battery in his back to make sure he doesn't feel the wrath of the franchise when things go south.

Mitch Marner does some on-ice training in Las Vegas

In new footage that was plastered all over social media, Marner could be seen having an absolute blast while doing some on-ice training.
To make things worse for all of the Maple Leafs fans out there, the forward was wearing his new gloves with the Las Vegas Golden Knights.
That's right folks. Marner is already out here wearing white and gold gloves. If you are a fan of the Leafs, then this is going to sting quite a bit.
In the aftermath of Marner's departure from the Toronto Maple Leafs, they have tried to replace him in the aggregate, although there is no telling whether or not this actually works out.
Matias Maccelli, Nicolas Roy, and Dakota Joshua are all players who have been recruited to play on this Maple Leafs roster.
However, many of these guys will likely be reduced to the bottom-six, which means they aren't going to be setting the world on fire with points.
