New Footage Shows Joseph Woll Was the Target of A Disgusting Elbow from Aaron Ekblad

The Florida Panthers have made it clear that they do not mind going after goaltenders in their second round series against the Toronto Maple Leafs.

In Game 1, Sam Bennett injured Anthony Stolarz with an elbow to the head. Now, the goalie's status for the rest of the playoffs is up in the air.

As for Joseph Woll, he had a solid Game 2, although just like his goaltending partner, he too was almost knocked out of the game.

In some new footage that has made its way to the internet following the game, Aaron Ekblad could be seen trying to swat a puck in the net with his hand.

However, as he did this, he very conveniently swayed his body directly into Woll in a way where his elbow made the contact with the netminder's head.

It was a pretty concerning sight especially given what happened in the last game. Thankfully, Woll was okay and was able to continue the game.

With the Florida Panthers down 2-0 in the series, the Toronto Maple Leafs are going to have to expect these kinds of antics from their opponent.

This is what always ends up happening in these scenarios. A team gets down and starts playing angry. The Leafs just have to play their game and stay the course.

Game 3 is set to go down on Friday and there is no doubt that this game is going to garner a whole bunch of attention, and we cannot wait to watch it all go down.

The Leafs have not been this deep into a playoff run since 2004, which means now is a good time to be a fan. Hopefully, that continues to be the case.
