After winning the Stanley Cup last week, the Florida Panthers found themselves on a bender, and it has come at the expense of the greatest trophy in sports.
The Edmonton Oilers proved to be no match for the Florida Panthers in the Stanley Cup Finals. While they did push it to six games, it was difficult for them to really keep pace, especially towards the end.
Now, the Panthers have two Cups in a row, and it remains clear that they are on the verge of becoming a dynasty for the ages.
As for Aaron Ekblad, he doesn't care. He told the Miami Herald that the team wll not be toning down its celebrations, whatsoever.
We're not toning it down. We just won two Stanley Cups in a row; we deserve to have a good time. We have good people in that room, so anythingif people think we're crossing the line, there's no chance. We're just having a good time, it's pure excitement. There's obviously a respect factor, and, you know, personally, I try to toe that line, but, no, it's all fun, and you know, we deserve it, for sure.
Much like other dynasty teams, the Panthers are making themselves out to be extremely unlikeable. Fans hate them, and that is not going to change anytime soon.
Only time will tell whether or not the Panthers will cause more damage, which could lead to some sanctions or fines.
If you're a Leafs fan, you're probably already sick of seeing these celebrations all over social media, and we can understand why.
