Toronto Maple Leafs restricted free agent Nick Robertson is likely to be traded soon, and there has been a ton of discourse surrounding which teams will take him.

If you are a Toronto Maple Leafs fan, then you probably have some strong feelings when it comes to a guy like Nick Robertson.
He was supposed to have so much promise, but after some contract negotiations that went South last summer, his relationship with the Leafs certainly took a turn for the worse.
There was this feeling that he was going to be traded, although that never happened. Throughout the season, Robertson had his ups and downs, and by playoff time, he was a frequent healthy scratch.
With that in mind, the forward is now a restricted free agent heading towards arbitration with the Leafs. In the midst of this, there have been rumors that the Leafs will trade him once a deal is officially agreed upon.

Nick Robertson could be traded by the Toronto Maple Leafs

With these Robertson rumors bubbling, it's normal that Leafs fans would be curious about who the likeliest destinations would be.
According to Jeremy Tingly of The Leafs Nation, there are three teams, in particular, that would be perfect for the forward.
These teams are the Winnipeg Jets, Pittsburgh Penguins, and Nashville Predators. The reasoning behind these teams is simple. They all need scoring.
Last season, Robertson had 15 goals in 69 games, and there is a feeling that he could take a leap this upcoming season. With the Jets losing Nikolaj Ehlers, and the Predators struggling to light the lamp, Robertson would be quite valuable.
As for the Penguins, they have Bryan Rust, who is someone the Leafs have been interested in. A trade package for Rust that includes Nick Robertson would likely satisfy the Leafs front office, and even the fanbase.
For now, Leafs fans are simply going to have to wait and see with Robertson. His arbitration hearing is coming up soon which means a contract should be signed sometime in August.
