ESPN analyst and former NHL star P.K. Subban had some incredibly harsh words for Brendan Shanahan following the Toronto Maple Leafs' Game 5 Collapse on Wednesday.

P.K. Subban is someone who does not shy away from stating exactly how he feels about a particular topic, regardless of how controversial.
Something that was not controversial, however, was explaining just how poorly the Toronto Maple Leafs played on Wednesday night in Game 5.
Quite simply, they were awful and it led to an epic rant from Subban that took direct shots at the team's front office.

P.K. Subban roasts Brendan Shanahan

The former Montreal Canadiens defenseman noted how the Leafs keep doing the same thing over and over despite the fact that it isn't leading to any results.
Furthermore, he went off on how Shanahan won't make any changes. He feels as though another loss in this series should lead to a regime change.
It was a rough rant, but at the same time, it is hard for Leafs fans to really disagree with any of this.
«Look at the past 21 years - they've had two series wins in that time. In the last 11 years, just one. Right? GMs around the league are noticing.

We've got five other coaches here. The definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over again. Brendan Shanahan has gotta be asking himself, 'What do I have to do?' But he also has to look in the mirror. He's the one who's gone out and acquired all the players and coaches - and it hasn't worked out.

I could be like everyone else and criticize the Leafs, but this was their biggest game in the last two decades, and a 6-1 loss in front of your home fans is embarrassing. This team is better than that - and that can't happen.

If they lose, something has to change. There has to be a change in leadership. It's not about pointing fingers - these are just the facts.»

Ultimately, this is a very bad time for the Leafs, especially since they are facing elimination tonight in Game 6.
If they cannot win this game, then their season is over, and we imagine those changes will be coming sooner rather than later.
Hopefully, the players take this game seriously and understand that legacies are very much on the line here.
