Popular Toronto Maple Leafs Podcasters Beg Morgan Rielly to Waive No-Trade Clause

Toronto Maple Leafs defenseman Morgan Rielly has been struggling as of late, and it has some podcasters believing a no-trade clause must be waived soon.
Morgan Rielly struggled quite a bit last season compared to the year previous. In 82 games, he had 41 points, which is a 17-point downgrade from the season before, where he had 58 points in 72 games.
Are the Toronto Maple Leafs trading Morgan Rielly?
During the most recent episode of the podcast, host Adam Wylde asked Steve Dangle and Jesse Blake whether or not the Leafs should sit Rielly down and strong-arm him to waive his no-trade clause.
Blake and Dangle weren't so sure about it, given the fact that the Leafs would immediately get worse. Wylde, on the other hand, immediately made a great point.
He notes that the Leafs need to take a step back this year and be aggressive. The DNA of the team needs to change, and Rielly is the one person who it makes the most sense to move on from.
While some may find this to be a tad harsh, Dangle and Blake did eventually come around to the idea. At the end of the day, the Leafs can't keep playing Mr. Nice Guy.
Of course, Rielly has all of the control in this situation. But if he realized he's not wanted, then it might just make him change his mind and grant the Leafs their wish.
For now, the Leafs have shown no indication that they would like to trade Rielly or even ask him to let them move on from him.
That said, free agency is coming up soon, and there is a real possibility that the Leafs may just bite the bullet and swing for the fences a little bit.
