Steven Lorentz Gets Brutally Honest About the Montreal Canadiens Playoff hopes

Toronto Maple Leafs forward Steven Lorentz was recently asked about the Montreal Canadiens making the playoffs and he gave a great yet honest answer.
Tonight, the Toronto Maple Leafs are taking on the Montreal Canadiens in what could be a pretty good game between two rivals.
Overall, the Leafs are trying to win the Atlantic Division while the Canadiens are trying to guarantee themselves a playoff spot, which is a lot easier said than done.
It remains to be seen if the Habs will be able to accomplish this goal, however, the Leafs are one of the teams standing in their way.
Steven Lorentz talks Montreal Canadiens
Steven Lorentz will have a big role in tonight's game as he continues to play valuable minutes on the Maple Leafs checking line.
However, when asked about the Montreal Canadiens and their playoff hopes, he gave a brutally honest answer that you really do have to respect. Essentially, he does not care.
"I know people want to see another Canadian team in the playoffs, but we don't care about another Canadian team in the playoffs. We care about our team, and that's it.... It's our job to not let that happen."
Lorentz does make a good point. It is not the Maple Leafs job to let the Canadiens make the playoffs, even if it a good story for Canada.
At the end of the day, the Maple Leafs have to do what is best for them and right now, that is winning the Atlantic Division for an advantageous matchup come playoff time.
Hopefully, despite being down to five defenseman tonight, the Leafs are still able to get themselves together and put up a good performance.
Fans want to see this Leafs this team succeed and the injuries this close to the playoffs are certainly making some people a little bit on edge.
