With free agency just about a month away, the Toronto Maple Leafs have some big moves to make, and there are plenty of free agents out there to target.
The Toronto Maple Leafs are at risk of losing some big-name players like Mitch Marner and John Tavares. Free agency begins on July 1st, and both players can choose to explore their options.
Thankfully, for the Leafs, there are plenty of other players out there that can be targeted. In fact, the Leafs are not confined to just free agency. They can choose to make some trades as well.
Aaron Korolnek of TSN has been theorizing about what the Leafs will do once the summer begins. This has led him to create a list of the Leafs' top five targets for the offseason.

A lot of the players on this list are guys that the Toronto Maple Leafs wanted to target at the trade deadline.
For instance, we can see players like Brad Marchand and even Brayden Schenn. However, some of the other tradeable players are Jonathan Marchessault and Chris Kreider.
Meanwhile, Korolnek argues that the Leafs should go after Sam Bennett, yet another player who has been garnering attention ahead of July 1st.
Overall, the Toronto Maple Leafs have a lot of work to do, and general manager Brad Treliving is going to have his hands full over the next few weeks.
The main priority will be to figure out whether or not Mitch Marner is still a viable option for this team going forward.
If you are a fan of the Leafs, you can't help but be a little bit anxious going forward. Although for now, fans shouldn't get too worried. The front office knows what it's doing.
