The Toronto Maple Leafs began development camp this week, and now, the team is looking to up its goaltending with NCAA netminder Adam Manji.

With development camp opening up this week, numerous young stars are currently in Toronto to showcase their talents and hope for a contract with the Maple Leafs.
One position that fans are fascinated by is goaltending, and for very good reason. While the Leafs already have two viable NHL starters on their roster, you can never have too many netminders waiting in the wings.
Having said that, it should come as no surprise that the team is actively inviting more and more goaltenders to its camp.

Adam Manji gets his chance with the Toronto Maple Leafs

The latest goaltender to get a Maple Leafs invite is 21-year-old Adam Manji of the American International College, which is a Division 1 NCAA school.
Last season, he only played in seven games, although he was able to post a .921 save percentage. Previously, he played three seasons with the Coquitlam Express of the BCHL.
The Burnaby, BC native is 6'5", which makes him the perfect size to be a success in the NHL.
Scouting reports state that the goaltender has good size, an athletic frame, and tremendous upside. The kind of goalie any team would love to have.
There's very high upside for this goaltending prospect. He's getting more athletic, a bit of a late developer.

He's really come into his own, but I like the confidence level that he's playing with this year.

He moves well for a bigger man, he's got an athletic frame, and he gets across the crease really well. He's put on a little weight, he's getting stronger, and his game has just started to come along right now.

The thing I like the most about him is that he's very athletic, he's composed, he's a very hard worker, and he's committed to being the best goalie that he can be. Clearly, this is a guy who will have a very good future moving forward.

Of course, Manji still has a lot of developing to do, but he is setting himself up nicely for years to come.
Hopefully, we hear more about him in the coming months and perhaps even years.
