Toronto Maple Leafs Fans Make Wild Prediction Involving Auston Matthews & Mitch Marner

Mitch Marner is no longer a member of the Toronto Maple Leafs, and for fans everywhere, this is a pretty devastating fact of life.

It is also pretty devastating for Auston Matthews, who no longer has his right-hand man to feed him passes and help him get 60 goals per season.

Needless to say, both players will be in for interesting seasons for different reasons. It has even led to discourse among the fanbase about who is going to be better off.

Recently, TSN 1050 put up a poll on X, asking fans which player was going to put up more points next season. It was an interesting question as both players have different roles.

Having said that, Mitch Marner won with 51.7% of the vote, while Auston Matthews had 48.3%. It was an interesting final result that we're sure fans will be eager to debate for a little while longer.

At the end of the day, it makes sense that fans would say Marner. After all, he had 102 points last season.

Marner will get to play on a line with Jack Eichel, which will help his numbers quite a bit. As for Auston Matthews, he won't have as solid a playmaker by his side.

It is going to be tougher for Matthews to get his stats, and we are eager to see how all of this comes to fruition as the season gets closer.
