Toronto Maple Leafs forward Mitch Marner has a lot on his plate this season and today, an announcement was made that will turns a lot of heads in the NHL.
Mitch Marner is having one of the best seasons of his entire career and he is now just one point away from 100 with two games left in the NHL season.
He can do it against the Buffalo Sabres tonight or he could even do it against the Detroit Red Wings on Thursday.
Whatever the case may be, it is looking pretty likely that the forward is going to do it and the fans are really eager to see him go out and prove himself.

With that in mind, it should come as no surprise that Marner would be getting some kind of recognition. Even if he doesn't win, this is very cool.
Marner is playing the best hockey of his career and Toronto Maple Leafs fans can only hope that he is able to remain a member of the team for the long haul.
Otherwise, there are going to be a whole lot of tears in the offseason which no one wants to see.
