Toronto Maple Leafs defensive prospect Ben Danford will be attending training camp soon, although his OHL life could be changing very soon.
Ben Danford is an interesting defensive prospect who just so happens to be entering his final season of OHL eligibility with the Oshawa Generals.
The defenseman is not expected to make the Toronto Maple Leafs roster, and it is doubtful that the team would send him to the AHL when he can develop further in the CHL.
Regardless, fans are excited about Danford, and he is a defenseman that the Leafs will be keeping a close eye on all season long.

Instead, it is the Oshawa Generals who might move on from Danford due to turnover. According to Leafs Nation News on X, Danford could end up with the Brantford Bulldogs, who are in a position to contend.
It makes complete sense that an OHL trade for Danford goes down before the New Year. Oshawa experienced extreme turnover and won't contend - replenishing with Sennecke and Danford trades is a given.

A Danford trade would make sense for the Generals, and perhaps the change of scenery would help the defenseman this season.
