Mitch Marner's Security Guard Crashes Out as Online Criticism Reaches Critical Mass

Former Toronto Maple Leafs forward Mitch Marner is currently catching some heat online from fans, and now, his security guard is trying to be the hero.
Mitch Marner has been causing quite a stir as of late due to his comments about Toronto Maple Leafs fans.
If you have been paying attention, you would know that Marner needed security after this year's playoffs. He claimed that a fan doxxed him online and was threatening his life.
This subsequently led to Marner hiring security for two weeks. During this time, the forward was too scared to leave his home.
Needless to say, it's understandable why Marner felt like he needed to get out of Toronto. After all, he was protecting his family.
Security guard for Mitch Marner speaks out
Unfortunately, for Marner, his comments have actually backfired on him, with Maple Leafs fans calling him out as an exaggerator. Some feel like his comments are a betrayal, and it has led to a fallout on social media.
In fact, his security guard is starting to get involved, as online criticism began to pile up. As you can see below, the security guard replied to a fan online, revealing just how great a guy Marner is.

To be honest, this is not a good look for the security guard, or Marner for that matter.
From a public relations standpoint, this last week has been a complete disaster for the former Toronto Maple Leafs superstar.
When January 23rd rolls around, it seems obvious that the forward is going to be heavily booed.
