St. Louis Blues forward Jordan Kyrou is the kind of guy you would love to have in your top-six, and with the Blues scratching him, trade rumors are ramping up.
Jordan Kyrou is a player who has been able to hit the 70-point mark on numerous occasions for the St. Louis Blues.
Despite this, he remains someone who has been wrapped up in a whole host of trade rumors. Overall, this should not be surprising, as the Blues remain sellers right now.
It should also not be surprising that the Toronto Maple Leafs have consistently been one of the most interested teams on the market.
They need a top-six winger, and Kyrou is someone who could play well with the likes of Auston Matthews, Matthew Knies, or perhaps even John Tavares.
Could Jordan Kyrou be coming to the Toronto Maple Leafs?
Recently, a new development involving Kyrou brought some of the previous trade rumors back to the forefront, and it is good news for the Maple Leafs.
The forward was a healthy scratch. Considering he has eight points in 14 games, it is easy to see how the scratch might be tied to performance.
However, sometimes, players are scratched prior to a potential trade. With that in mind, it is easy to see how Leafs fans might be excited by this news.
At the end of the day, the Toronto Maple Leafs don't have many assets to trade, so it is hard to imagine Kyrou coming to the franchise.
Regardless, fans are going to speculate, and they are going to hope and pray that general manager Brad Treliving is able to pull off a miracle.
