Ex-Toronto Maple Leafs Forward Delivers Scathing Critique of His Own Career

Former Toronto Maple Leafs forward Ryan O'Reilly has been through it over the past year or so, although his time in Nashville certainly hasn't been what he hoped.
The Nashville Predators have not been as advertised over the past few seasons. Even with guys like Steven Stamkos on board, the team has not been good.
Ryan O'Reilly decided to leave the Maple Leafs for Nashville, and it is a decision that has not worked out in his favor thus far, much to his chagrin.
In fact, the team keeps losing, and it seems like morale in the locker room has hit an all-time low. We know this because of a recent interview that O'Reilly did.

Below, you can see that O'Reilly ripped himself to shreds, claiming that he only had one good season in his entire career.
He was very critical of himself, and quite frankly, it felt a bit overdramatic. After all, he is a Stanley Cup-winning center for a reason.
I know for myself, as a number one center... I can't make a 6-foot pass to save my life. We're not going to have much success if I'm playing pathetic like that, so it's stupid. I don't know the answer, I've had one good year in my career.
If you are a Toronto Maple Leafs fan, it may just be glorious to see this, as O'Reilly remains a disliked figure in Toronto.
However, you can't help but feel for the guy right now. He is very clearly upset with how things are going, and he just wants to take a break from it all.
Only time will tell whether or not the Predators can turn things around here and prove themselves to be a playoff contender, even if it is a fringe one.
Overall, the Predators have good players, and they can certainly make this work if they change some of their pieces around.
