With the Toronto Maple Leafs looking to gain assets at the NHL Draft, there appears to be a scenario in which the franchise can deal Nick Robertson at a solid price.
Nick Robertson is a player who was unable to get much done with the Toronto Maple Leafs last season. After a tough contract negotiation, he only had 15 goals and 22 points in 69 games.
Throughout the playoffs, he was consistently a healthy scratch, which led to some fans feeling as though head coach Craig Berube just didn't like him very much.
It was a valid thing to think, and the rumors that have followed Robertson this offseason are certainly making it seem as though the young forward will be going elsewhere.

In a new report from Nick Kypreos, it was stated that the Maple Leafs are in the midst of shopping Nick Robertson. Given the market right now, this makes a lot of sense.
The Leafs could use some draft capital, which can then be flipped for some other assets. Robertson is the best candidate for this sacrifice, especially since he probably won't be re-signed.

With the NHL Draft going down tonight, there is always a chance that Brad Treliving tries to get something done. If he can't, then after July 1st is probably the safest bet.
This was a team-friendly deal, and it was a great way for the team to start off the offseason. It seems as though they are now ready to really get things going.
As for Nick Robertson, this is a situation that fans will have to continue to watch out for over the coming days and weeks.
