Toronto Maple Leafs forward William Nylander missed last night's game against the Buffalo Sabres, but there is some good news on the horizon.
William Nylander is one of the best players on the Toronto Maple Leafs, although there is no denying that when he's injured, it is a big problem.
Last night, the Leafs were without Nylander against the Buffalo Sabres. It was a huge deficit for the team, but in the end, they still came away with the win.
John Tavares scored a goal in overtime, and for the most part, it was just nice to watch the team snap a three-game losing streak.
Craig Berube gives good news on William Nylander
On Tuesday, the Toronto Maple Leafs will be playing against the Calgary Flames, although it remains to be seen if Nylander will be able to play.
Nylander did take warm-ups with the Leafs on Saturday, which has certainly created some hope that he will be in the lineup.
In fact, according to head coach Craig Berube, the hope is that Nylander will be good to go, as he plays against his hometown team.
Overall, the Toronto Maple Leafs have a record of 4-4-1, and are proving themselves to be a middle-of-the-road type of team.
However, they can still turn things around. The Calgary Flames are bottom-of-the-barrel right now, and the Leafs need to take advantage.
Having Nylander back in the lineup would certainly help their case. If they can get back above .500, that would be a good start.
For now, the team just needs to keep digging, and they need to start playing better in front of their goaltenders.
