Toronto Maple Leafs forward William Nylander has remained in Toronto throughout the offseason, and recently, he came through for a fan who was not expecting it.
William Nylander had a great season with the Toronto Maple Leafs. He finished off the year with a whopping 84 points, including a career high 45 goals.
Overall, the forward showed that he is easily one of the best players on the Leafs roster and that he deserves his flowers for everything he has accomplished.
However, the Leafs were knocked out of the playoffs in the second round, and as a result, Nylander had to start his offseason a lot earlier than he would have liked to.
William Nylander loves Toronto Maple Leafs fans
Having said that, Willy has been spending quite a bit of time in Toronto when he could be spending his time in Sweden. It just shows he loves the city.
In fact, Nylander made a young fan's day recently, as he went to the tennis courts in downtown Toronto to get a workout in. A young fan asked him for a photo, and the superstar forward obliged.
Despite the season ending weeks ago and joining Sweden for the World Championships last week, William Nylander was back in Toronto this past week and was spotted at a local tennis court downtown, where he met up with a fan taking a picture with him.
That moment probably made the kid's whole year, and you cannot help but commend Nylander for doing something like that for the kid.
The forward got into the good graces of Leafs fans all season long, and he needs to be rewarded. Of course, he did get a massive contract recently, but praise for the man is in order.
Going into next season, fans can't help but feel as though Nylander is officially the team's most reliable goal-scorer, and yes, even more so than Auston Matthews.
Only time will tell whether or not William Nylander keeps this going and even manages to ascend to new heights.
