William Nylander Reveals the MVP of the Toronto Maple Leafs and It's Not Someone You'd Expect

Toronto Maple Leafs forward William Nylander was excited after the team's win over the Ottawa Senators on Thursday night and it led to some high praise.
William Nylander had himself a fantastic night on Thursday as he had two goals and an assist in what was a series-clinching win against the Ottawa Senators.
He finished the series with three goals and six assists which amounts to nine points in six games. For some, he was the MVP of the series.
However, if you were to ask Nylander to name an MVP, he would probably actually go with Scott Laughton who blocked a shot at the end of the game that led to the empty net clincher.

Laughton played gritty all playoffs long and a lot of fans were impressed with his performance. Nylander was certainly one of the people who enjoyed watching Laughton play.
He had some much praise for him after Game 6 and it was cool to see a role player get recognized.
«Yeah, I mean, just the way - I think that entire line has been playing unbelievable, and Locke, since he's come in, has really taken pride in playing both sides of the puck. He's been hunting, doing the defensive stuff incredibly well, and playing great with that line. So he's been huge for us, and he's just an unbelievable guy in the room, too.»
When Laughton first got to the Toronto Maple Leafs, he struggled quite a bit and fans were very impatient with him, which is disappointing.
However, in the playoffs, he has more than proven his worth, even if he isn't setting the world on fire in terms of offense. He is doing more than enough to earn his keep.
Overall, he is a good player and he is someone that a lot of fans can appreciate because he is always in the trenches.
Against the Florida Panthers, guys like Scott Laughton are going to be extremely important to the team's success.
