Anthony Stolarz Has One Piece of Advice for the Toronto Maple Leafs Amid Depressing Slump

Toronto Maple Leafs goaltender Anthony Stolarz has been in a slump and you can say the same thing about his teammates who are playing their worst hockey of the year.
Anthony Stolarz was a stud for the Toronto Maple Leafs early on in the season and was even leading the league in save percentage at one point.
However, things have quickly gone down the drain thanks to a rough stretch of play from the Leafs and it would appear as though the goalie has some ideas on how to fix things.
Anthony Stolarz brutally honest about the Toronto Maple Leafs
On Saturday night, Stolarz allowed three goals on 24 shots in a loss to the Ottawa Senators and for all intents and purposes, it was a rough night.
According to The Leafs Nation, the goalie had some thoughts on his game and how he needs to be better.
«It was just a couple of bounces. The margin of error is so small right now, they're a desperate hockey team, looking to climb the standings. For me, it just have to make a save. Linus made some saves at the end, and that's what it boils down to.»
Meanwhile Stolarz also talked about how the team could be a lot better as well and that for the most part, they just need to go back to basics.
«Go back to the basics, go back to training camp. The way we played the first month or two of the season. Try to re-assess, get back to that mindset, that attitude, tenacity that we were playing with to start the year, and just kind of regroup.»
The Maple Leafs are currently third in the Atlantic Division standings standings, albeit tied for second with the Tampa Bay Lightning.
They are four points back of the Florida Panthers and can still get themselves back into a decent position with a few wins in a row.
Tonight, they play the Calgary Flames and it is certainly going to be a pivotal game especially with the Colorado Avalanche coming up right after.
