Toronto Maple Leafs captain Auston Matthews has some new teammates heading into next season, and recently, he got to give his thoughts on the team's moves.

Auston Matthews has a lot of work to do this season in order to keep the Toronto Maple Leafs above water. Of course, this is due to the departure of Mitch Marner, who meant a lot to the team.
After scoring 33 goals last season due to a nagging injury, the fans are hoping that he can get back into the 60-goal range. Even 50 would be nice.
However, it is not going to be easy, especially since he doesn't have a solid right-winger right now. General Manager Brad Treliving hasn't gotten him one, and the fans are getting antsy.

Auston Matthews talks Toronto Maple Leafs roster

While at the Hockey Night in Brampton charity game, Matthews was asked about the Maple Leafs roster and whether or not there was anything he would change.
Matthews noted that he is excited about the changes that were made, although as far as his mindset goes, he's keeping things the same.
Feeling good (about next season). A lot of changes, but excited about the guys we brought in, excited about the guys that we have. I know we have a great team and great group of guys in the locker room. Looking forward to getting started. Guys are going to have to take some steps, but I think that's a good thing, a good problem to have.

We had a lot of changes, but I don't think the mindset really changes. You have to be focused, have to be willing to do whatever it takes to win. It's a hard league to win in. For us, it's not getting too far ahead of ourselves, staying in the moment.

If you are a Toronto Maple Leafs fan, there is no denying that this season is going to be a bit nerve-wracking, given the fact that Marner is gone.
There is no telling whether or not this Maple Leafs team will have enough firepower to overcome the best teams in the NHL.
Thankfully, the season starts in about seven weeks, which isn't that long of a wait.
