Toronto Maple Leafs forward Max Domi is looking to have a bounce-back season, although his mind is still on the NHL Playoffs, where the Leafs lost to the Panthers.

Max Domi didn't have the best season with the Toronto Maple Leafs in 2024-25, as he only managed a total of eight goals and 33 points.
However, going into next season, there is a real possibility that Domi plays on the first line with Auston Matthews and Matthew Knies, which could realistically increase his production.
In the postseason, Domi had some clutch goals against the Ottawa Senators, but against the Florida Panthers, he was a no-show.
As it turns out, Domi is still fuming about the playoffs, and he wants to make sure that this feeling never befalls him again.

Max Domi on Toronto Maple Leafs disappointments

While speaking to the 'Roz and Mocha Podcast,' Domi made it clear that it was hard to watch the Panthers win the Stanley Cup last season.
Given how things ended against them, he felt as though the Leafs should have been able to win the Cup had they gotten through that seventh game.

Absolutely not. I won't be over that yet until we play game 1 of next year, because then, at that point, you have to turn the page. I'm a happy guy, obviously when I go on the ice it's a little bit different. I'm sure it's like, 'ah, he doesn't look very happy', but it was a tough ending and obviously seeing who won and how they won makes it sting a little more. It just shows how close we were, but we are right there and we've got a special group. I'm looking forward to getting back after it with a great group of guys and an awesome coaching staff, so it's fun, man. We've taken a huge step this year -- I know it doesn't feel like it, but we have, and we're chomping at the bit to get going next year.

Max Domi has the right mentality going into next season, and if he can have a big year, then he will ensure his future with the team.
Fans are counting on him to come up big and bounce back. Whether or not he can get back above 10 goals remains to be seen.
On a line with Auston Matthews, it is hard to imagine him having a bad season.
