Toronto Maple Leafs defenseman Brandon Carlo is in his first week with the team and as you can imagine, he has some impressions of the fanbase.
Last Friday at the trade deadline, the Toronto Maple Leafs traded Fraser Minten and a first-round pick to the Boston Bruins for defenseman Brandon Carlo.
Overall, it was a move that a lot of fans weren't expecting as other defenseman appeared to be on the team's trade board.
That said, the fanbase was happy to see Carlo in a Maple Leafs jersey knowing the kind of defensive prowess he possesses.

These first few games have been difficult for Carlo as he is still getting acclimated to his teammates and various defensive assignments.
He is also getting used to the Toronto Maple Leafs fanbase which is one of the most dedicated in the entire NHL.
While speaking to Amazon Prime ahead of tonight's game against Calgary, Carlo spoke on the fanbase and just how amazing they are.
«You know, it feels good. At first, it was a little bit of a shock. I wasn't really expecting it to be true. Overall, since I got here, you know, hockey guys-hockey guys, they're the best. So, coming into this room, it's been very welcoming. I'm very proud to be wearing this sweater as well.
The fan base is very cool. For me to hear about it throughout the league, just the passion and how involved they get, is incredible. And to be living out this dream is pretty cool, so I'm excited for the opportunity.»

Tonight is a big game for the Leafs and they have come to play as they are currently up by a score of 5-1 after two periods on the Calgary Flames.
Auston Matthews currently has two goals and that could very well be the difference in this game.
As for Carlo, he has been solid and the fans are happy to have him on the team going forward.
