Toronto Maple Leafs head coach Craig Berube has been going against Brad Treliving's demands as Scott Laughton is currently not playing in the middle.

General Manager Brad Treliving traded for Scott Laughton with the perception that he would be the team's third-line center, thus replacing Max Domi in that role.
Although Craig Berube granted that vision for a few games, Laughton was then sent down to the fourth line on the wing.
On Tuesday, he was back on the third line, however, it was Domi who was playing center while Nick Robertson was on the right wing.

The Toronto Maple Leafs head coach is very blatantly disobeying Treliving's wishes with this lineup move, but Berube does not seem to care.
In fact, while speaking to reporters, he doubled down noting that he loved what he saw out of the third line on Tuesday night.
"I liked that line tonight. They played with a lot of energy. I know they got a goal there from Max - great play - but the line had energy. They all skate and get on top of things like I want.

That is what we want from them. Laughton was physical. I thought they were good tonight, that line. The way I envisioned that line is tenacity.

They can all skate, get on top of people, and make it difficult for the other team by disrupting the other team as much as they can. They did a pretty good job tonight. Max was 65% in the faceoff circle. He was solid there."
It is rare that the Leafs win games by this kind of margin so you can imagine the fans are loving this right now and they hope it continues.
Thursday is a good opportunity for it when you consider how the team is taking on the San Jose Sharks, one of the worst teams in the league.
We just hope Scott Laughton can find his scoring touch as we reach the final 11 games of the regular season.
