Craig Berube reveals what is really going on with Nick Robertson

Toronto Maple Leafs head coach Craig Berube recently gave his take on forward Nicholas Robertson, who was recently scratched in favor of Alex Nylander.
Nick Robertson has not been good this year as he only has two goals and zero assists, all while delivering lackluster efforts, night after night.
On Friday night, Robertson's performance against the Washington Capitals ended up getting him benched by his head coach, Craig Berube.
It was a decision that Maple Leafs fans had been waiting for, and given Robertson's recent play, it is not surprising in the least bit.
Last night, the Maple Leafs lost again, this time to the Pittsburgh Penguins, although this time around, Robertson could not shoulder any blame as Alex Nylander took his place in the lineup.

Following the match, Berube spoke to reporters about Robertson and what is next for him.
Essentially, Berube believes that Robertson deserves more chances and that it is up to the coaching staff to get him where he needs to be.
He just has to play better. That is it. We all know that. I talked to him today about it. We will figure it out.

At this point, it feels as though Robertson's issues go way beyond the coaching staff, however, Berube is always quick to take accountability.
Only time will tell whether or not the Leafs decide to just move on from Robertson, going forward.
He is on a one-year deal, so it's not like the Leafs are assuming very much risk here.
