Toronto Maple Leafs defenseman was out against the Buffalo Sabres last night, while Nick Robertson was a healthy scratch for the first time this season.
After missing last night's game against the Buffalo Sabres with an injury, fans have been hoping for the return of defenseman
Morgan Rielly.
Well, fans will be happy to know that Rielly will be in the lineup tonight. This means
Dakota Mermis is going to be taken out after a bad showing.
As for Nick Robertson, he was a healthy scratch last night. According to Craig Berube, he is coming back to the lineup on Saturday.
As for
William Nylander, he remains a game-time decision, and there is no telling whether or not he will be good to go for this one.
After losing three games in a row, the Toronto Maple Leafs are in desperate need of something good happening, and a win would certainly make things better.
However, if they can't get the win tonight, then there are going to be a whole bunch of fans looking to slam the panic button.
Maple Leafs vs. Sabres overview
Last night, the Sabres defeated the Maple Leafs by a score of 5-3 in a game that was not a good look for goaltender,
Anthony Stolarz.
Tonight,
Cayden Primeau will be getting the start, and it does feel like this could inject a bit more energy into the lineup, which is very necessary right about now.
The Maple Leafs are one of the most disappointing teams to start the season, and they have to do something to change the narrative.
If they can't get it together fast, then this season could get ugly, very fast.
