The biggest question on everyone's mind heading into free agency is: Where will
Mitch Marner sign? He is probably leaving the Leafs, and fans want to know his next move.
However, only one team can sign him. There has to be mutual interest, and the money has to be right. $14 million per season won't cut it if Marner doesn't feel like he can win anything.
Where is Mitch Marner signing in free agency?
During the most recent episode of '32 Thoughts,' Elliotte Friedman spoke about the Marner situation and where he is going to go once July 1st hits.
This led to an interesting confirmation, as Friedman claimed that a Western Conference market probably makes the most sense for the superstar winger.
If Mitch Marner leaves Toronto, I think he's going to a Western Conference team
Although if we had to guess, the Golden Knights, the Kings, and the Ducks are the three teams that make a lot of sense for the homegrown talent.
Ultimately, the Marner situation is going to progress over the coming weeks, and Maple Leafs fans will be paying attention, for better or for worse.
Free agency will officially begin on July 1st, well after the conclusion of the Stanley Cup Finals, and a few days after the NHL Draft.
