Insider Confirms the Existence of Brandon Carlo Trade Talks

Toronto Maple Leafs defenseman Brandon Carlo was added by the team at the trade deadline, although throughout the summer, trade rumors persisted.
Brandon Carlo is a defenseman whom the Maple Leafs traded a first-round pick and Fraser Minten for at last season's trade deadline.
Overall, this trade was actually a bit of a surprise. No one knew that Carlo was on the Leafs' radar. However, when the team made the trade, fans were pretty happy.
So far, Carlo has been a solid addition to the roster. He and Morgan Rielly make a great pair, and the fans could not be any happier with the results from these two so far.
Are the Toronto Maple Leafs trading Brandon Carlo?
Having said that, Carlo was subjected to numerous trade rumors this past Summer. The Leafs don't have many trade assets, and Carlo was assumed to be the next best thing.
In fact, according to Chris Johnston, the Brandon Carlo trade talks did, in fact, happen. Ultimately, the Leafs decided not to pursue a trade, understanding full well that he is best left on the roster.
They had at least thought of what a world would look like if they traded him; they were open to imagining what that would look like
This is going to be a fascinating season for Carlo and the Maple Leafs. Fans are going to want to see growth under this new system from Craig Berube.
Regardless, there is a lot to be excited about for Maple Leafs fans right now, and there is no denying that Carlo and Rielly are going to give fans a show.
If Carlo were to be traded, perhaps we would see it at the deadline. However, something drastic would need to happen for that to be an option.
Either way, we are just happy to have NHL hockey back already.
