John Tavares Makes a Statement After Reaching Monumental Milestone

Toronto Maple Leafs forward John Tavares hit a massive milestone on Thursday night after registering three points in a game against the New York Rangers.
John Tavares has been an exemplary star for the Toronto Maple Leafs over the last few seasons and the fans certainly love him in the city.
He is going to be a free agent this summer and unlike guys like Mitch Marner, he appears to be a lock for a new contract.
In fact, it is believed that John Tavares is going to finish his career with the Maple Leafs which would certainly be very cool to see.
John Tavares continues to play well with the Toronto Maple Leafs
Last night against the New York Rangers, Tavares had two goals and an assist which was instrumental in picking up the 4-3 victory.
Interestingly, this was a milestone game for Tavares who hit the 1100-point mark. He now has 485 goals and 615 assists which is sensational.
After the game, Tavares spoke out about hitting this milestone and how it is a great example of the hard work he has put into the game.
«You don't take it for granted. It has been a great journey, a lot of hard work, and I've played with two great organizations. A lot of great teammates have been a big part of that, helping me along the way and making me look good a lot of the time.»
This final stretch of the season is going to be pivotal for the Toronto Maple Leafs and its players.
The team is trying to get the best seeding possible going into the playoffs and they are currently tied with the Florida Panthers for first in the Atlantic Division.
With John Tavares firing on all cylinders, there is a very good chance that this team can get the job done with 13 games left in the season.
