Joseph Woll Makes Earth-Shattering Comments About his Toronto Maple Leafs Teammates

Toronto Maple Leafs goalie Joseph Woll was stellar last night against the Colorado Avalanche and he had some very interesting comments about Nathan MacKinnon.
Joseph Woll turned aside 38 out of 39 shots on Wednesday night to give the Toronto Maple Leafs a pivotal win against the Colorado Avalanche.
The goaltender is fighting to become the team's starting goalie in the playoffs and he is certainly in tough against Anthony Stolarz who had a hot start to the season.
Woll has been with the Maple Leafs for a couple of seasons now and he has seen this team grow up before his eyes. This has given him a deep connection to his teammates and he clearly feels very strongly about them.
Joseph Woll praises the Toronto Maple Leafs
After the game, the goaltender was asked about his experience playing against guys like Nathan MacKinnon and even Connor McDavid for the first time.
This led to a fascinating answer from Woll who made it clear that while these players are all-world, he would much rather be in the trenches with his current teammates.
"He's a good player (laugh). This year is my first time playing him and McDavid and they're special players and they have their reputation for a reason, but I'll take the guys we have in this room 10 out of 10 times."
With Joseph Woll starting to find his game and Stolarz struggling, it feels as though the former will be the starter once the playoffs come around.
This is going to be a pivotal playoff run for the Toronto Maple Leafs who are desperate to showcase that they can actually get it done when it matters.
Goaltending will have to be instrumental in that goal and the Leafs are a team that could benefit from a goalie who steals the show when he has to.
Woll did just that last night and for this reason, starting him in the first-round might just be the right decision.
