Matthew Knies' continues to score for the Toronto Maple Leafs
In the clip down below, you can see that Knies was able to tip a shot from the point, although his stick was very high up at first.
The call on the ice was that this was a good goal and as you can imagine, the Kraken were quick to protest.
After a review, it was made clear that Knies made contact with the puck with his stick below his shoulder, making this a good goal.
After the game,
Bobby McMann was asked about Knies' goal celebration and whether or not he was attempting to trick the officials.
"I think he was trying to fool the ref there a little bit. Good play by him. I think it was nice that he swiped down on it, because it was very close. And because it was goal on the ice, it ended up being a goal all the way through."
As for the Maple Leafs, they are on a three-game winning streak and they can make it four agains the Vancouver Canucks on Saturday.
