Toronto Maple Leafs goaltender Anthony Stolarz was livid after last night's loss against the Seattle Kraken, and he let his feelings be known.

Anthony Stolarz was upset last night after he got run over by Jaden Schwartz. Brandon Carlo just sat and watched, which led to Stolarz knocking his net over in disgust.
After the game, Stolarz continued to voice his displeasure, and his rant was incredibly refreshing, as it just goes to show that some people still care.

Anthony Stolarz calls out the Toronto Maple Leafs

In his rant, Stolarz effectively called the team soft. He said they don't go hard to the net, and they refuse to make the game difficult on opposing goalies.
He also made mention of how they are six games into the season, and that they should be putting in more of an effort these days.
It was a good 3rd period, but first two periods we kind of let them walk all over us ... They outworked us in front of the net. They blocked shots. They beat us up & down the ice & the score was indicative of that. They just outworked us plain & simple. It's just playing hard. Maybe we can take a page out of their book & get to the net. We like to go low to high & shoot but for their goalie it's like playing catch ... We're not making it difficult. We made it difficult in the 3rd & look what happened
Even though we're six games into the season, you know, enough's enough & we kind of got to start picking it up here
You know, how many points are we going to leave out there? ... The potential's there. Like, we have the skill. We have the grit. We have the grind. It's just frustrating that we just can't put it together right now
It was all quite fascinating, and you can't help but agree with the goaltender. He has every right to be upset.
It is refreshing to hear someone give a real opinion on the matter, instead of simply giving a media-trained answer. Whether or not the Leafs actually listen to the message remains to be seen.
The Maple Leafs should be lucky to have Stolarz, and we can only hope they actually put in an effort next time.
