Toronto Maple Leafs forward Matthew Knies made some comments recently, and they have implications for guys like Matias Maccelli, Dakota Joshua, and Nicolas Roy.
Matthew Knies had 29 goals last season playing alongside Auston Matthews and Mitch Marner. However, without Marner on the team, no one knows if he will be able to match his performance.
Overall, it is going to be an interesting season for the Maple Leafs, especially with the new players who have been added to the team.
This includes Matias Maccelli, Nicolas Roy, and Dakota Joshua, three players that general manager Brad Treliving traded for.

While speaking to The Toronto Sun, Matthew Knies revealed his thoughts on his new teammates and what the team is about to look like.
It'll be a bit different without Mitch, but the acquisitions we've made-Maccelli, centre Nicolas Roy, and thumper Dakota Joshua-have been looking good I don't know what we'll put together at the start of the season, but we have a lot of great players on our team.
Knies also noted that he has all the faith in the world in his head coach and his general manager.
Any way that Brad Treliving and coach Craig Berube decide to do it, hopefully we find a formula that works and gives us long-term success.
The forward could take a huge leap this season, although he could also take a major step back without a solid right-winger by his side.
Matias Maccelli could take the reins, but there is no telling who is actually going to be the one to replace Mitch Marner.
Either way, the Toronto Maple Leafs do have a lot to think about this season.
