Toronto Maple Leafs head coach Craig Berube was compelled to call out Max Domi on Saturday night after the forward took a bad penalty in the first period of game 4.
Max Domi is a player who has gone through some drastic ups and downs this season with the Toronto Maple Leafs and it has been hard for him to get consistent.
In Game 4, Domi took a four-minute penalty while in the faceoff dot, and it led to the first Senators goal of the entire game.
Craig Berube criticizes Max Domi
Overall, it was a bad move on Domi's part and it was a contributing factor to the team's loss. If you are a Leafs fan, you can't help but be a bit upset with him.
After the game, head coach Craig Berube spoke about the Max Domi penalty and had some major criticisms of his forward. Overall, it was very much warranted.
"It's not a good one. He knows that. His emotions got a little too high there and involved. That's one he knows he can't take and our team doesn't want to take."
On Tuesday night, the Maple Leafs will be back in action against the Ottawa Senators for Game 5 with the series on the line.
If the Maple Leafs win the game, they will win the series 4-1. However, if they lose the match, they will have to play against the Senators in Ottawa for Game 6.
Ultimately, there is a lot riding on the next few games and the Leafs need Max Domi to be on his best behavior.
If he could find a way to actually produce on offense, then that would also be a pretty good thing for this team right about now.
