Matt Murray plays a solid game with the Toronto Maple Leafs
Murray himself stopped 24 out of 27 shots, and while these statistics don't exactly jump off the page, they do illustrate that he can still play at the NHL level.
Overall, everyone was happy for the goaltender last night, especially since he has worked so hard to get back into the National Hockey League.
According to David Alter of The Hockey News, Murray even received the infamous Leafs belt from Max Domi after the game.
Earlier, the goalie had received the game puck from
Jake McCabe, who made sure that his netminder had another souvenir from his comeback matchup.
In totality, last night's win was another display of dominance from the Maple Leafs, and fans should definitely be impressed by it.
The team's record is at 21-10-2 which makes the Leafs one of the best teams in the entire league, and it leaves them atop
the Atlantic Division.
Tonight, they will play
the New York Islanders, and considering the Islanders' struggles, the Leafs should be able to get another win.
