Toronto Maple Leafs forward Max Domi fought Kaiden Guhle last night, however, his eagerness gave the Montreal Canadiens a huge opportunity in a big moment.
Max Domi is one of those players who is consistently showcasing his grit, even if his offensive output may not be what everyone was hoping for.
He only has eight goals and 31 points this season, however, he is still doing the little things like backchecking, forechecking, and even fighting.

Unfortunately, the forward was hit with a pesky instigating penalty which led to some anger towards the forward, and understandably so.
At the end of the day, this penalty could have given the Canadiens a goal. Thankfully, the Leafs were able to shut them out in the end.
Regardless, Domi took accountability for what happened out there, noting that he now knows the rules and that it will not happen again.
"I was talking to the two refs out there, and they said that you got to actually make a play, like a hockey play, and then you can fight. I didn't. I didn't know that, to be honest. But now I know."
Last night's win gave the Toronto Maple Leafs a four-point lead on the Florida Panthers and the Tampa Bay Lightning in the Atlantic Division.
A win tonight against the Carolina Hurricanes could potentially ensure that the Leafs win their division for the first time in nearly 20 years.
Overall, this has been a very fun season and with the Leafs playing this brand of hockey, fans should be hopeful that this will continue into the postseason.
