It turns out those predictions were 100 percent correct as we now know what the
Dakota Mermis is being brought in by the Leafs.
Dakota Mermis to make Toronto Maple Leafs debut
According to David Alter, Craig Berube confirmed as much last night following the win against the Canadiens.
Mermis was an addition this offseason who was eventually stolen by
the Utah Hockey Club on waivers. Eventually, the Maple Leafs were able to get him back and they have not looked back since.
Overall, the Leafs are very happy to have Mermis, who now gets to make his debut with the franchise after playing 32 games in the AHL.
Even if his time with the Maple Leafs is short lived, fans will be very grateful that he is with the team right now.
The Leafs are one of those teams that can use all of the help necessary as one more win would ensure that they can get
the Atlantic Division.
Beating
the Carolina Hurricanes would also show the fans that this team is ready for the playoffs and all of the good teams that will be competing with them.
Hopefully, the Leafs are able to keep the good times rolling and Mermis has a memorable first game as he plays his second NHL game of the season. It couldn't have come at a more important time.
