Toronto Maple Leafs forward Mitch Marner was absolutely awful against the Florida Panthers on Sunday night, and it really does seem like he is done with the franchise.
Mitch Marner has not been what the Toronto Maple Leafs wanted, especially when it comes to the playoffs, where the games matter the absolute most.
Overall, Marner goes ghost when it matters, and that was the case on Sunday night in Game 7 against the Florida Panthers.
The Maple Leafs actually had a chance to win coming into this one, but they ultimately played one of their worst games of the season, and yes, it was worse than Game 5.
Is Mitch Marner leaving the Toronto Maple Leafs?
After the game, Mitch Marner spoke to the media, where he was asked about his time in Toronto and whether or not he enjoyed it.
His response was completely in the past tense, which isn't exactly good news for the Leafs. Quite frankly, Marner sounds like someone who has one foot out the door already.

Free agency begins on July 1st, and it seems pretty clear-cut and obvious that Marner will become a free agent.
Teams like the Utah Hockey Club, Chicago Blackhawks, Calgary Flames, and even the St. Louis Blues are all potentially interested in his services.
Although considering just how bad he is during the playoffs, one has to wonder if he is going to lose money with some claiming that he could receive a deal worth $13.5 million.
