Mitch Marner Hits Western Conference Team with a Brutal Rejection

Mitch Marner has an abundance of choices going into this upcoming offseason. Numerous teams want to sign him, and with the Toronto Maple Leafs likely being discarded from the pile, all eyes are on the superstar winger.

So far, the odds-on favorite appears to be the Las Vegas Golden Knights. Marner was reportedly seen in Nevada looking for homes with his wife.

Furthermore, the Golden Knights are reportedly attempting to move cap space around so that they can afford Marner when July 1st hits. That said, there are plenty of other teams trying to grab hold of the forward.

One franchise that has reportedly been interested in Marner is none other than the Utah Mammoth. They are a team that wants to make the postseason to keep the new fans engaged.

Presumably, they are one of those franchises that would be willing to spend $14 million per season on Marner. However, according to Chris Johnston, that is very unlikely to happen.

The other teams near the top of Marner's list include the Dallas Stars, Florida Panthers, and Los Angeles Kings. Of course, the Carolina Hurricanes and Anaheim Ducks are also expected to make a push.

If we had to make an educated guess, the Golden Knights would be the most obvious team here. However, you never know how the negotiations will go.

Marner will do what is best for him and his family, and we respect whatever decision he comes up with, even if it won't benefit the Maple Leafs.

All we know is that there will be a contingency of the fanbase that will never forgive him for walking away.
