Mitch Marner's Latest Free Agency Scheme is Going to Anger Potential Suitors

Toronto Maple Leafs forward Mitch Marner has a lot to think about in free agency, although it seems like he already has an obnoxious plan for when July 1st hits.
However, according to Elliotte Friedman, it's not just the Leafs who are being given the runaround by Marner. Pretty much every single potential suitor is going to have to jump through hoops for Darren Ferris' client.
Where is Mitch Marner going in free agency?
During the latest episode of '32 Thoughts,' Friedman revealed that it is very likely Marner's free agency decision extends well beyond July 1st.
The winger only wants to begin meeting with teams on July 1st, and that means the process could take a week or two to play out. He wants to have in-person and Zoom meetings with each team.
One other thing I'm hearing about Marner, there's the possibility again; there's still two weeks who knows where it will end up. There is a chance this is not a July 1 thing, but his choice is to set up Zoom or in person meetings on July 1 or thereafter.
I was told that's one of the possibilities, there's time, but that's not out of the question.
Ultimately, this is going to be a bit of an inconvenience for some teams, as their entire free agency strategies hinge on whether or not they acquire Mitch Marner.
The winger has been accused of being a prima donna with the Leafs, and now, he is doing it to the rest of the NHL. Of course, this is a big decision, and he should take his time, but at a certain point, enough is enough.
Only time will tell what Marner's demands are around the league. If he wants too much, teams may be reluctant to sign him.
If anything, NHL teams are about to find out about the true power of guys like Ferris and Paul Marner. God help us all.
