Toronto Maple Leafs defenseman Morgan Rielly hasn't been any good this season and it is clear that the team has to make some tough decisions this summer.
Earlier in the season, defenseman Morgan Rielly quickly became the Maple Leafs whipping boy as fans and the media were quick to criticize him.
However, there was a good stretch of hockey where that eventually stopped and fans started giving the veteran some grace.
Unfortunately, Rielly is back to his old bad habits right now and it has led to a whole lot of discourse online with fans showcasing their displeasure with the defenseman.
Morgan Rielly continues to struggle with the Toronto Maple Leafs
With the addition of Brandon Carlo, Rielly was given a new defensive partner who was supposed to get him back on track.
However, against the Ottawa Senators, it became clear that Rielly and Carlo weren't working, and the newly-acquired defenseman was demoted to the third pair.
Morgan Rielly continues to blow through defensive partners and with the Carlo situation taking shape, fans are absolutely furious.
Morgan Rielly has officially worn out another new partner. Really seems like the only option going forward are these pairings.

It hasn't worked with Chris Tanev either, and it's become clear who the problem is in all of this.
Rielly is a veteran defenseman and he should be easier to play with but he isn't. It's pretty abysmal to see and this is not going to fly in the playoffs.
If things do not improve soon, the Maple Leafs might have to make a drastic decision about Rielly and what his future in Toronto looks like.
With the playoffs on the horizon, it is more important than ever that everyone on the team starts putting forth the best performances possible.
